My Approach: I view therapy as a process of self-discovery for an individual; therefore I ensure to create a space for my clients that can allow them room to process their difficult emotions, explore their identity while reflecting on their past and present. My approach focuses on the individual differences to facilitate each individual to understand their unique experiences; thus I use techniques from different modalities. I am cautious of the fears or uncertainties that can be brought in the process of therapy and thus believe in working on a strong therapeutic alliance and to create a space that is not reflecting power dynamics. I ensure to keep my therapy space to be accepting, compassionate and corrective in nature. I believe in learning and have found myself to be in a process of learning and unlearning. Self-compassion has been an important part of my self-care; I enjoy spending time reading and creating new recipes.
