About the Safe Space
What does The Safe Space do?
We provide fully-furnished office spaces to mental health counsellors and wellness practitioners. Psychotherapists, meditation & yoga teachers, educators, etc. can use our spaces to host individual, group, in-person, or online sessions.
What kind of office spaces are available?
We offer spaces suitable for work with individuals, couples, families, children, groups. We accommodate both in-person and online needs.
Who can rent offices at The Safe Space?
Our offices can be rented by qualified mental health professionals, meditation and mindfulness teachers, yoga teachers, educators, and other professionals affiliated with mental health and wellness.
What should I bring with me to the rehab clinic?
When coming to the rehab clinic, it’s recommended to bring personal hygiene items, comfortable clothing, necessary medications (with prescriptions), and any important documents, such as identification and insurance information. The clinic will provide a detailed list of what is allowed and what should be left at home for safety reasons.
Can you help me find a therapist?
You can view a list of therapists affiliated with The Safe Space through the “Our Therapists” page.
We recommend browsing the full list and reaching out to 4-5 therapists who feel like a good fit.
Please note that we cannot guarantee an appointment, as each therapist works on their own schedule.
Can I get a walk-in / same-day appointment for therapy?
Most therapists are unable to offer walk-in or same-day appointments. Therapy is a process where the therapist and client meet regularly and work over a period of time. It is usual to be placed on a waitlist until space becomes available.
For practitioners
What qualifications do I need to practice at The Safe Space
For mental health counsellors, the minimum requirement is a Master’s Degree and/or Certification and/or Diploma in Psychotherapy from an accredited institution.
There are tailored requirements for trainee therapists, specialised practitioners (e.g. speech therapists, vocational therapists), wellness practitioners, educators, etc.

Are the rooms private and secure?
Yes. We are mindful to protect client confidentiality and privacy through managing the space and a well-trained administrative staff.
Is There a reception?
Yes. There is a receptionist and reception area where clients can wait comfortably, make payments, get information about programs at the space, and engage in mindful activities while they wait.
Is There Administrative Support?
Yes. At The Safe Space, you can leave everything but therapy to us. Our admin staff ensures cleaning, upkeep, water and supplies, billing and invoicing, as well as emergency support for our practitioners and their clients.
Is There Storage Space?
Yes. Every room has private and secure storage space for therapists to hold their belongings and supplies.
How Do I Schedule Appointments?
We have an in-house scheduling software that lets practitioners make, change, and cancel appointments within minutes.
Can I get printing and stationary from the office?
Yes. Practitioners can request print-outs, photocopies, as well as stationary supplies from reception
Is water, coffee, and tea available?
Yes. Complimentary hot/cold water, and a tasteful selection of tea and coffee is available at the space.
Can I bring and store specialised therapeutic tools?
Yes. We have secure storage spaces where therapists can keep their specialised tools. E.g., sand trays, play therapy equipment, etc.
How large is the Group Room?
30 feet by 14 feet
How many people can the room accommodate?
For groups that involve activity and require space, we recommend a capacity of 20 people. For events like talks, trainings, and seminars, the room can accommodate up to 40 people.
What kind of activities can be held in the room?
Therapy & support groups, wellness workshops, mindfulness & meditation classes, yoga classes, clinical trainings, seminars, public talks, etc.
What kind of seating is available?
The room offers flexible furniture and seating options, and can be easily adapted to the unique needs of any event.
Is there a reception?
Yes. There is a reception area where group participants can wait comfortably, make payments, and engage in mindful activities while waiting.
Is A/V equipment available?
Yes. Projectors, projector screens, speakers is available along with reliable wifi.
Is printing and stationary available?

Is water, tea, and coffee available?
Yes. Complimentary hot/cold water, and a selection of tea and coffee is available inside the room.
